Year 4 - 2011 Mount Madness of 100+

After a fun and exhausting trip through my past I'm almost back to the present.  Of course, can't explore without becoming even more addicted by the world of mounts, specially when you're aiming for the achievement for 100.

For those aiming for such a obsession, warcraftmounts.com is a great place to start.

After already getting your 50 tooling around the old world and northend, you start out easy like finally getting around the AQ raid and stomping it flat with over-geared toons.  I still think it's a shame you can't use these gorgeous bugs outside of its walls.

Then you spend your next several weeks, months... years... grinding for the Raven Lord mount.  I never want to see Sethekk Halls
again, not even on a new toon.  Never. Again.

Have some fun digging and get the undead raptor mount, as well as help your guild mates in Argent Crusader with their own goals.

Get lucky at Brewfest and finally have the Kodo... hey, no eating the spirit beast!

Maybe, kinda buy a mount at blizz's shop -cough-

Then reap the benefits of TB and collect your drake and watch the world burn... wait, what.

Last but not least, collect your achievement reward of 100 mounts +
Mount, pose and flaunt your years of work for all to see <3

Next stop, hunter pets galore!

Year 4 - Jollies of Cataclysm 2011

After a fun and exhausting trip through my
past I'm almost back to the present.  This expansion was filled with mixed expectations and the usual love/hate relationship that comes with it.  Sure it had its gripes and its painful dead-ends here and there but I for one enjoyed exploring the changed world after several years.  I'm a sucker for story-board clips, the plethora of new pets might have helped there too <3

Tried out a goblin, heh, giant hat :) and tempted some online friends to the world of Azeroth.  Nothing like freaking out a new player then death by seagull, gotta love feign death.  Then got the pleasure of joining in for a world boss raid.

Here is just some of my favorite quests/screenshots.

Of course,
who can go through Cataclysum without trying out the new PVP section in TB.  Got the pleasure of testing it out with some of my best guild friends and my newly acquired collection of druid pets.

Next up, the addiction that is mounts 0_0

Year 3 - Pet Stories of 2010 Part 2

Take II as I finish off 2010 (aka continuing through the past)
Expect a lot of images and a lot of mini stories -cackle-

After my biggest win of capturing King Krush, it was off to finish off my tier and satisfy my need for the rest of every green pet available in warcraft.... even if some of them just had green eyes like this pretty golden worm.

Green cat. Check.  Green dog.  Double Check.

And of course, can't forget a awesome screenshot with a helboar and warcraft's new lighting.

Do some old quests and have a blast taking some really fun screenshots in the process.

And then find out about Chromaggus....

He wasn't green but he was unique, a two headed dragon that breathed smoke.
I needed another corehound like a hole in the head....  Everyone to Blackwing Lair!

This time I had my guild's support and we trucked in and crushed the place, nearly killing the corehound boss I was trying to tame and finishing up with a party on the old dragon's head.  Cheers!

And so then finally, after a very long winded travel into my past few years of playing.
To the new expansion I went, hunting for fresh thrills and long camps.  See you all there as I hit up 2011 ;)

Year 3 - The Year that Green was King

This was perhaps my longest and most painful camp ever and deserves a post of its own because well, it's Krush's story <3

I had told myself that I wouldn't hunt him for all the grief I'd heard so much about but that only worked for so long.  I would later find myself in the Shozin Basin, camping for this newest obsession.  My guildies were busy with other things, my friends figured I was nuts as day in and day out I stalked the Basin.  Several times other hunters pulled their own pet out on me and with my rare addon screaming, I rushed over only to see them laugh and taunt as they flew off.  A rarer beast even spawned for me but obsessions aren't so easily satisfied.

And then... avert your eyes to the sadness as I came across my first real glance at the king.

Even the apes came to pay their last respects....

But sad stories can have a happy ending.
A couple weeks later, as to which I've seen enough mammoth herds to last me a life time.  It was one of those late nights that you keep hoping, another hour, just one more hour.  What is it with rares and late nights?

At 4am, I got my wish.

All evening I had been alone when he spawned inches from me and what was worse, a ally flew down as well.  Fearing the worse, I took a deep breath, expecting the human to kill what I had been stalking for weeks now.  I watched as instead, the ally took a step back and I did not waste the silent go-ahead he had given me.  I did not even pause to screen-cap, firing off a stun, drinking my potions, hitting my protection and praying as my health steady went down.  The biggest pain with Krush is that he fears but the hunter-gods were with me, the seconds ticked down.  With a bow, the ally left me with my prize and I'm sure I woke the neighbors with my cheers.

My new companion (who later became Limeade).  Of course, what's a rare without bringing him back to the city to proudly show off.  He seemed to enjoy creeping up behind unsuspecting people and scaring the pixels out of them as well.

I took him everywhere, even met some other friends, ally and horde alike with a love of green pets.  Even got me drawing again and spawned a fair likeness of him.

He definitely enjoys my green obsession, often rolling his head around when I try to get a decent screen shot of the two of us.  Move already you green tard!  I do love this pixel dinosaur thou, still one of my favorites to this very day.

He also followed me right into the beginning of cata's opening and into its new worlds.  See, having a bright green dinosaur can be handy, never get lost in a crowd again :)

Next stop, more green tames!

Year 3 - Pet Stories of 2010 Part 1

Still trucking right along through 2010 (aka continuing through the past)
Expect a lot of images and a lot of mini stories -cackle-

With the new stables in place.  Ah the love of being able to have more then 5 pets.  My newest spirit beast Eclipse followed me through as I  went about taming to my heart's content.

Now that I had the space, I meant to start stalking rares, I did, really I did.
But with his blind smirking face, I couldn't say no to taming this fuzzy guy.
Meet FishBait.

And back to stalking the rares!

I found this guy next, he was green enough and became my new pvp go-to pet.  This was before his wild version was turned into a brain bug so I was pleased to get him, even if it wasn't a rare skin ^_~

I enjoyed some good moments with Outbreak and my guildmate Bull with his own pvp pet.

Had to have a green corehound of course :D

Now, the biggest green animal around had been around since Wrath started but I told myself early on and countless times at that, no, I wasn't going to go after him.  Not only was he a rare but he was also a achievement and hit like a mini fright truck at the time.  I'd read the horror stories, wasn't going through the pain of having him killed out from under me or tamed by someone else or worse! killed by him and stolen while I rushed back to my corpse.

Nope, I was not going to go through it....

Next thing I knew, I was sitting in Shozin Basin, ready to have a big green dinosaur chomp my face off.  Instead, I see this guy stalking around me.

No hunters, no-one around... damn it!

A few minutes later I had him.  I will say, I rush tamed but I've grown quiet fond of Lazar.
So with him safely in my stable, I went back to hunting... and stalking, and dreaming of a great giant green dinosaur of my very own....
