Year 2 - the best of Outland 2009

Ah, another blog, another year of memories ^^

Continuing through the past, 2009 started off with a bang and I do mean a bang.  My first solid guild took all us fresh members on a run through Molten Core.

Back when hunters had to still use bullets, back when I didn't bring enough and proceeded to melee my way through the last boss.  Thank goodness for a large group where dps didn't really matter from us noobs.

After reaching level 70, I tamed a white
chimaera and named em' Frostbite.  Really creative back in the day with my names ^_~ And for a good while, he remained my stead-fast companion.

I was one of those who took their time, just coming in at the ending of BC, I started to finally make my way into Outland.

But not before becoming obsessed and collecting the rest of the mounts from my different factions.  Naturally, I rode the green toned ones the most <3

And then, to Outland I went.
And I must say, it is still one of my favorite zones.

Bringing with me green companions and taming every other green pet I could snag.  My new love became my spider VIII (eight) and Virus, who traveled all the way to Northend with me and got to play along during several events.

And after that, I got my first flying mount and I'll tell you this.  There is nothing to equal the amazement of first taking off.  I must have spent hours just flying around just for the sheer thrill of it.

I then went after, you got it, the mounts offered there.  The ones I knew about at the time.  I spent many trips back grinding rep off old factions, months of work paid off when I finally got these beauties.

Next stop, Northend!

Year 1 - The best of 2008

So, continuing my trip through the past, I went about taming different things, even tried to tame a giraffe.  That didn't end well.  My first real love was a wolf I named Ghost.  Took me several tries and even more deaths but he remained by my side for my first 30-40 levels.  Even if I did do some crazy things like dancing alone on boats and such...

And then I saw it for the first time on my adventures out of Thunderbluff, the orc's wolf mount.  I had to have one, and spent the next several levels doing nothing but Orgrimmar quests to get one.

And at level 30, I was proud to say I owned one and couldn't stop taking pictures of it.  At that time I found Warcraft Mounts and became a mount collector.  Soon enough, I started to hunt the rest of the world for more.

But you see what I'm wearing, young hunters, don't do this!  In the beginning, I didn't understand stats or that some could help or hurt me, so I collected matching sets of green outfits :) Why, because I simply adored the color, to the point of obsession.  Didn't matter if it was mail, leather or cloth to me.

Much to my ever lasting thanks, a helpful rogue saw what I was doing and helped me out.  After that, I was much better, thou I still tried to find outfits with good stats and green shades.

After that, I traded up my wolf Ghost for a worg to match my mount.  One truely sad moment was when I did the green tiger quest and realized I couldn't tame him.  (yes, he was once un-tamable)

Aside from that, enjoyed the festivals and did some crazy things during hallows end & winter veil.  And re-tamed another white wolf Frostbite while I enjoyed the rest of 2008.
